“Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good dead.”

hopeBuilds FAQs

1.  Why are we purchasing a building?

We have been leasing since the ministry began 22 years ago and have been praying about a permanent location for years. Originally, we were planning to build a new building but the amount of money needed was too much for us to begin the project any time soon. We continued to pray, and God led us to the old Bread Factory. The timing was perfect. With this building purchase we will now have 5 times the space of what we were originally planning to build, and at a lesser cost. We trust God’s plan and His timing.

2.  What is the time frame of the project?

We plan to close on the building January 15, 2021. We will then begin renovations immediately and plan to be moved in, and hold our first service, by the end of summer 2021.

3. Will we incur any debt?

Although we may need to take out a loan from a local bank, we are praying that all of our financial needs will be met. However, even if we were to take out a loan, the cost of the mortgage will still be less than what our rent is on our current lease.

4. What will the total cost be?

We plan on completing this project in multiple phases. Currently, Phase One will cost $1.5 million in order for us to be ready to move in. There are two other phases that will come at a later date, with great opportunities for the ministry to expand.

5. What will happen to our current buildings?

We will keep our current buildings on Market Street for ministry and outreach. We also plan to convert our two lots we currently own (where we were originally going to build) and turn them into community basketball courts to reach the youth.

6. Who will do the renovations?

We plan on using all local contractors to renovate the current building. This includes Air Management for HVAC, Hoover Construction for masonry, Schultz Roofing for the roofing work, HEPCO for our entrance construction and Strosser Bear Architects for our architectural plans.

7. What is the size of the building?

We are currently purchasing 54,000 Square Feet, which is more than 5 times the size of our original plans to build.

8. Is there any parking?

We estimate there will be space for around 200 vehicles.
